"Fun with eugenics"

Films: I am Mother (2019)

Alias: None

Type: Man-Made

Location: Civilized Area

Height/Weight: Twice that of an average human.

Affiliation: Evil

Summary: We've certainly given robotic babysitters a thought in our lives, now haven't we? Just imagine the perfect machine for rearing kids and helping them grow up to be healthy individuals. After all, a person raised by a perfect machine would be just as perfect...right? Surely, a robot's idea of perfection is more nuanced than...no, no it isn't. There's only so much you can do with an algorithm...

History: After the human race is seemingly destroyed by something, a bunker below the ground begins to produce human embryos. In charge of it all is Mother, a droid that soon spends sixteen years raising Daughter to be the most perfect of them all, free of violence and hatred. It works for a while...until a human Woman enters the facility from outside. Daughter soon realizes that Mother might not be as truthful as she seems, and she is torn between trusting one of her own kind or the being that raised her for so long.

Notable Kills: Nothing special.

Final Fate: It is revealed that Mother eradicated most of humanity with her droid army due to perceiving them as too self-destructive for their own good. Daughter is her only child because she killed all the other children she deemed failures. Daughter destroys Mother's body, but she just uploads herself to the other robots, with Daughter being put in charge of raising the new embryos. Thus, Daughter is Mother now.

Powers/Abilities: Mother can transfer her conscious into any other robotic body.

Weakness: Heavy artillery.

Scariness Factor: 4-Mother is a special kind of killer robot. She wanted the best for us, but her solution was essentially the kind of stuff Hitler was peddling back in the day. As in, keep killing people until a new Master Race of intellectuals and violence-free humans is created. A noble cause, but dear God, she killed so many, including the entire damn planet, just to see it through. Do not trust her. EVER.

Trivia: -Mother's voice was provided by Rose Byrne, but the robot suit was worn by Luke Hawker the production designer. It was an incredibly heavy suit, but he wore it for enough time to the point where it could only possibly be worn by him.

-Mother bears a striking resemblance in both appearance and motive to GLaDoS from the cult hit video game franchise, "Portal". Both are major sociopaths who kill people in a misguided effort to better them, but Mother happens to be less condescending, and isn't nearly as cruelly humorous about it. The similarities also extend to their main test subjects, Daughter and Chell respectively, though the mother/daughter relationship between the latter and GLaDoS is more ambiguous and is more full of animosity from the get-go.
